This lightweight set stores easily, and provides basic tools for emergency extrication work. It is ideal for patrol cars and similar vehicles where powerful rescue tools must be accommodated in a small space. Set includes a new high flow pump, two rams – the powerful “Wedgie” and a 5 ¼ inch stroke straight ram with 5-ton capacity. Spreader toes and attachments for the straight ram furnish lifting and spreading capability. The set includes a rubber flex head, serrated saddle,  wedge head, flat base plate, ram cylinder toe and plunger toe attachments along with two short tubing sections, 3”, 5”, 10” and 23” tubing sections and two connectors are used with the straight ram for pushing and bracing. This basic set at a budget saving price is worth many times its cost on crucial emergency calls.

All RS-1, 4 Ton Rescue Sets manufactured after September 1, 2011 include the newly redesigned and improved 5 ton hydraulic ram cylinder with a precision wound steel spring which provides fast and complete retraction even with the cylinder in horizontal position, precision machined and burnished cylinder bore to extend seal life and improve spring retraction rates, high quality specially designed seals to provide long life and optimum performance. The heavy duty piston retaining ring prevents blowout and eliminate deformation, heavy duty bearings are designed to resist side load and prevent galling. The new cylinders have an unprecedented lifetime warranty against material and workmanship defect. The new hydraulic pump provides compact size, increased fluid capacity and quicker operation.

The all new, completely redesigned H2S steel pump’s design provides reliability in tough rescue applications with new features including vertical or horizontal operation to provide ease of operation for many years. The new high flow design of the H2S pump reduces handle strokes while providing more rapid tool operation and a larger hydraulic fluid reservoir. The reservoir fill port has been relocated to the top of the reservoir for easy access and filling. The H2S pump is equipped with an internal pressure relief valve providing overload protection, complying with ANSI/ASME B30.1 safety standards. This new pump also incorporates a new larger control valve designed for easy operation while wearing gloves. A heavy duty pump handle with ergonomic grip has been integrated into the design.
